So im going to dive in to all grain BIAB

Got my kettle, my bag, and my grain.

Going to do this recipe:
https://brewgr.com/recipe/16202/rusty-spinner-redx-smash-irish-red-ale-recipe
my question is, how long do i steep the bag?

I have beersmith3 but not real sure how to use it to set this up.

Says i need 7.5 gals of water to end up with 5gal batch.

Any help woyuld be awesome, thank you

Depends on mash time, mashing out, draining etc. I mash 60 minutes then raise temp for 10. Pull bag and put in a colande over top of the kettle and let bag Drain. Then boil

others have different techniques

7.5 gallons accounts for the amount of water the grains will absorb and also what you will boil off to reach 5 gallons.
