I'm planning to do a 10 gallon batch of irish red tomorrow - shooting for an OG in the 1.050 is range and a quick fermentation on Notty.

I'm going to run off the first 5 gallons to style, but am debating doing a hop stand to the final 5 gallons (perhaps with either centennial, or going english style with some fuggles/EKG). Any thoughts?

I'm not sure how the maltyness of the irish red style will work with the aroma of a hop stand, but I'm thinking it may be worth a try.
