In reference to the sticky article on saving the yeast cake by just dumping it in mason jars...
I have a couple batches going that the trub is all in (I usually minimize trub from kettle to ferm)
I’m thinking to try saving the yeast cake but obviously have the issue of all the trub to deal with. Im guessing probably fill several jars and as the trub starts settling pour the top layers into a single jar?
I do have a conical separator but trub clogs it pretty fast. Or maybe try a kitchen gravy separator?
