    no co2 at racking

    Did my first all grain brew a week ago saturday. Scottish 80 shilling. Mashed high at 158(according to recipe) all went well wound up with a og of 1.045. I don't have any way to arrate(sp?) my wort so I siphoned it out of the kettle into the fermenter and let it splash. This has worked just fine...

    Airlock overflow low og

    I made a "clone" of a local brewpubs standard ale. I missed my og because the extract recipe was 6.9lb of lme and I quote: "specialty grains" with no amount listed. So by clone I mean just an experiment in what I like. Anyway by the time my beers leave secondary I'm usually down to 4.5 gallons...

    Full volume boil.

    Well the plan for brewing tonight was to do my first full volume boil. But I realized I'll be boiling all the o2 out with no Real means to get any back in the water. Is it better to boil say 3 gal or so and ad two gallons of water later? 4 and 1? Thanks for the help guys.
