I am moving, and unfortunately my brewing equipment is not coming with me. My loss is your gain. I will NOT ship any items, everything is for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. I am selling everything split into 4 parts, the more you buy the more I'll discount it. Kegarator - $250 * 4 Stainless steel...

    Apprenticeship Hard to Get?

I've found nothing works better than just going in a talking to the brewers. I've never met one that wouldn't spend time talking to you (and if they won't do you really want to work with them?). I'd identify a few breweries close to where you live and just start going in and building a...

    80 year old recipe help

Yeah I agree with Blitzkrieg. Don't short cut it. To me keeping it as original as possible is what counts. Who cares if it takes you an extra few hours or ends up tasting like Colt .45. You will get the chance to brew a part of the past and give someone the chance to give an awesome present...

My Beef With Craft Beers in America

Doubtful at this stage. Metropolitan is about 6,000 BBL a year if I recall. Not sure on 5 Rabbits. When I was up at Siebel they were just getting started really. I can't even find either 200 miles away in Indianapolis.

AARGG! How badly did I hurt myself?

I've gone shoulder deep to fish something out without any ill effects. You're fine, unless you had just used that hand to wipe your a$$ after leaving a massive, well you know, in the toilet. Then you might have a problem, but the beer would be the least of them.

I have a couple from Flat 12 in Indianapolis, if anyone has ever heard of them even.

    Sanke Keg Washer build

Why not just buy a commercial one? DME makes one almost exactly like this. Great product and easy to use. Though theirs is built on 220V.

Base grain 50# sacks, which ones?

I'd get marris otter, but it really depends on what you use the most of in your beer. Look up the beer styles you make the most of and the typical ingredients. That's the best place to start.
