Moving to Europe - What to do with eqipment?

So, my great American vacation of 6 years is now over and it is time to travel back to Europe. I arrived with one duffel bag filled with clothes but I, needless to say, accumulated a lot of stuff over here. One of those things is an all-grain 10g brewing setup. What should I do? Pay top...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Finally going to start up a brew after somewhat of a brew hibernation. Teaching a friend how to brew with a Nut Brown Ale, recipe from Lil' Sparky https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f67/nut-brown-ag-30187/

    Clearing my hard cider!

I'm not sure how the campden tablet/yeast would effect the clarity. However, if it is a sweeter cider you are looking for I would suggest adding fresh cider at the end of the fermentation. I normally brew 4 gallons of apple cider and when fermentation is done I add a fresh gallon of cider and...

I'm in Knoxville and i would do a swap with you, sounds like a fun thing to do! Right now I have 3 beers, with a cider that might be ready in 2 weeks! Just PM me if you are interested! Btw, I can see Neyland stadium from my apartment :D

    Kegged Summer Ale suddenly flat

I would suggest that you have a leak going on somewhere. If the dispensing pressure is high the beer can still get a big foam head but without the actual beer being carbonated. I would check for leaks before anything. mix some water and dish soap and apply at all fittings and cracks, if there...

    Plate Chiller Question

Doing both sounds complicated and is probably not wort your time. I would by a fitting and attach on your kettle. they go for around 25 bucks (bargainfittings.com) plus you need a drill bit big enough to make the hole. They are only 15 bucks. After that you should be good enough to gravity feed...

    NEED HELP FAST! forgot hopbag

Thanks for fast response guys! i got pellet hops and use gravity to feed the chiller, and a ball valve on the kettle. I was thinking of putting the hop bag over the dip tube but that would be pretty hard. I might just try it and then have the siphone ready to go if the normal set up clogs.

    NEED HELP FAST! forgot hopbag

Ok, have a problem. I was on the phone when it was time to add the hops. I just got a CFC so using a hop bag is something i only done for a few times. Obviously I just added the hops without the bag and they are right now floating around in the kettle... What should i do? proceed as normal...

    Blow off bucket

Changing won't hurt the beer. I had the similar situation in my airlock and left it and the beer turned out good. Bleach can definitely be used, save your money :D Good luck with the brew

    Bottling from a keg

If the beer is warmed up a few degrees when you bottle (using warm, or room temp. bottles) you will loose carbonation since the solubility of a gas in liquid decreases with increased temperature. Easiest way is to clean the bottles, sanitize them, I usually cover them with saranwrap after...

Belgian Golden Strong Ale Duvel Clone

I did a extract + grain duvel clone two days ago. I re mashed 5 lbs LME with 5 lbs of base malt in 148F for 90 minutes. With added Candi sugar I ended up with a OG of 1.082 and the fermenter is bubbling like crazy right now. Hopefully i will end up with a FG down towards the goal of 1.006...
