    Gasket

Going to ask this again, someone out there has to have the answer. Does anyone know what the size of or industry standard size call out is for the faucet to shank gaskets? I'm ordering the internal O rings, and want to get these as well, since I'm already paying for shipping. (Perlick 525ss)

    Perlick Faucet to shank Gasket.

Thanks for the quick reply, but I should have been more specific as to I am looking for the industry standard size, so I can order it from an O-ring supply website like theoringstore.com I will be ordering several different sizes in larger quantities, (like lifetime supply). For example the...

Hornindal Kveik is blowing my mind

All I did was shake the pack well, snip a corner, and pour it into 6 equal amounts, nothing more. Then when you go to pitch, just take one out shake it up, and pitch. The containers are shown in my second pic in the post.

Hornindal Kveik is blowing my mind

Sunday, opened a 3.38oz pack of Omega Hornindal, separated it into 6 Tupperware containers, roughly 1/2 oz each. This probably got me 1tsp pure yeast in each vial. Brewed a 1.062 beer, added 3tsp yeast nutrient, pitched one vial of the yeast around 75 degrees. 14 hours later I checked on it...

Can I add Calcium Chloride to a kegged beer?

Thanks, Punching in my grains for a typical pale beer to EZ_Water, It looks like I can go up to 5-6oz, acid malt to get me around 5.38-5.4. This keeps me under their recommended 3% ceiling for acid malt addition. I hadn't brewed in over 2 years, don't know if my water has changed some, or...

Can I add Calcium Chloride to a kegged beer?

Historically I haven't adjusted water/mash at all. Going forward, I am going to make some adjustments. In my above #9 post, I show a couple screen shots from EZ_water, and what I will likely try at first. The 3oz acidulated malt was supposed to bring my mash PH to 5.49 per EZ_water spreadsheet.

Blichmann BrewEasy w/ Electric Brewing Panel. Akron, Ohio

So you're in Akron Ohio, your profile says from Clinton. Would that be Clinton Ia. Clinton Ia. Would be doable for me, Akron unfortunately is a bit to far, otherwise I would be in my truck tomorrow to get this.

Can I add Calcium Chloride to a kegged beer?

Finally following up, (pet peeve of mine when people don't follow up on posts). I added some Calcium Chloride solution to a glass of beer, and it helped. So, just went ahead and added 5g of granules to a cup off water, added it to the keg, shook well. Results, noticeable improvement, but...

Can I add Calcium Chloride to a kegged beer?

I'm going to give it a try tonight in a glass, I have some Calcium Chloride liquid from cheese making, and will give that a try. If it helps, I will dose the keg with some. I also found I have High Magnesium, which I can't do anything about except dilute my water from here on out, which I was...

Can I add Calcium Chloride to a kegged beer?

SO, I have been having an issue with my beers, and decided it has to be due to my water. Darker beers with less hops, not as noticeable, but hop forward IPA/APA it became a huge issue. These beers have loads of late addition hops, along with a 60m bittering addition, finished beers have been...

Put an ounce of corriander and the zest of a few oranges in a tea ball and drop that in the keg for a week or so. It should help.

    Simple HLT control

Augie, thanks for the feedback, and I am planning on the mypin td4, the graphic I hacked just so happened to reference the auber. I saw where for about $40, I can get the pid, 40a ssr, and a pt-100 combo. I think I will stick with the 120V in the panel in case I want to add a pump switch in...

    Simple HLT control

Couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I did this cut/paste hack job of a PJ original. I will use this for my HLT, and just boil with gas until I set up the boil kettle with an element. The only other addition I may go with would just be a 110V led between the contactor and the...

    Odell IPA Clone?

Regardless of the grain bill, in my opinion the hop schedule will require some late additions of Citra or Galaxy, in order to truly finish out the correct hop profile. Citra has only been mentioned a couple times in this thread, and no one has added it to there recipe. Galaxy is very similar...

Auber Digital SSR Power Regulator for Wort Boiling Control

Has anyone used one of these? I was looking at the SSVR40A at first, but then saw this right below it. http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=444 I want to build a panel with one PID for HLT, and a knob controlled variable control for the Boil. With the...

    Collar Porn

No woodburning, but I did do a large painted logo, by scanning my small logo, mirroring it, printing large scale, taping to the top of plexi-glass and painting the underside. Worked great, and protects the paint from scratches.
