potassium sorbate and k-meta + bottling

Does potassium sorbate and k-meta stop bottle carbonating? I know if I add k-meta it is ok, but is it ok to add potassium sorbate too?

    CO2 safety

How do I explain others that it's okay to have an CO2 bottle in the house? Just have the plastic cap on when it's not in use, have it upright, don't have CO2 bottles next to each other, keep them somewhere where it can't get over 50c, always tighten the bottle when it's not being used.

    My first fake mead recipe

I took Man Made Meads Apple Cyser recipe as a base for my recipe. I haven't started yet with the recipe. Will do in about a week. Frozen apples 5,44kg Sugar 0,24kg/liter Blueberry syrup 100g for back sweetening (using one that I made a year ago) Water 13,2-15,1 liters Apple juice, no...

    A few of worries, witbier

So I'm making witbier and this is my recipe: Would a few things be a problem: a) I noticed the fermzilla had some krausen/hop residue left which I didn't notice before. After previous batch I poured in fermzilla with water and starsan, let it sat there for days, siphoned it away, put another...

    Fermzilla lids threads screwed up

Hey, Even if I try to be moderate with tightening my balllocks and airlocks to my fermzilla lids, the threads just get messed up easily. Is there some sealing mass I can use to fill the air leaks? I also thought about 3d-printing new threads (did already an .stl) but that's something I wouldn't...

Which are the easiest beers to brew?

Which are the easiest beers to brew? I keep on failing with my wheat ale. I think the problem might be that I haven't adjusted the pH but it'd be nice to have a easy brew to bring my brewing confidence back up.

Three apple trees results too many apples

Hey, Does anyone have an idea what could be done to excess apples next summer? I've thought about cyser or apple wheat ale. As far as processing goes, I don't want to peel every apple but slicing them or using a blender on them would be doable. How can I avoid the taste of pectin in my brews?

Blueberry and mint syrup during boil or fermentation

Hey, So I need to get rid of blueberry and mint suryp that I have. I probably have 150g of blueberry and 50g of mint syrup. I thought about pouring at least the first one to my wheat ale in my next batch, which I will start in two weeks or so. I'm able to do 7,3 liters with my current equipment...

I ran out of CO2, what now?

I managed to transfer my beer from fermzilla to keg but after that I noticed I didn't have any CO2 left in my tank. Now I have keg full of beer but I have to get CO2 from store and I don't know how long it's going to take. Maybe a day or two. Can I leave my keg to a cold room @6c for a day or two?

Bottling in clear glass bottles, why?

Beer usually is in green or amber glass so the UV radiation won't affect the taste. Ok, so some beers are still bottled in clear glass bottles like SOL -drink. Just because it looks good even though it is (I dunno) UV-sensitive due to the clear glass?

    Blowtie + fermzilla

How does this setup work? So I 1) BIAB to make my wort, 2) cool it down, 3) siphon to fermzilla, 4) add the yeast, 5) close the lid and 6) add the air lock. Alright. But I have the equipment for beer fermentation under pressure but now much idea on how to do it. I'll try it in the next batch. I...

    Bottling without iTap

Is there a guide on how to use this? iTap seems easier but is 100€ more expensive. E: Do you guys know whether iTap would be more suitable for 0,33 liter beer bottles with shorter necks?

When is the time for pouring the beer to the keg?

The beer that I'm doing has been fermenting for 4 weeks now. Can I pour it to a corny keg to start the carbonation? The airlock did bubble last night. I now sanitized it, took it off, checked from the little hole for foam (krausen it's called?) on top of the wort. I saw tiny bubbles but no foam.
