    Thanks a lot for the replies. That said...Co2 will be used while transfering. The idea of conecting the keg output to the top of the fermenter sounds like a good solution to stop air entering the sistem.

    Hi I have Speidel type fermenters (120L) and they rest at a platform about 1.5m above the floor. When I transfer I do it using the gravity into the keg and it works great. We have an internal discussion about to use or not use Co2 into the fermenter while kegging to avoid oxidation from air...

    I just bought one and Im having the same issue. I think the leak is frpm the rim. Has any of your batches been spoiled due to infection from the outside? That is my worry

    Hi I just got a 60L Speidel and my beer has been fermenting for about 36 hrs. I saw the air lock move up but i dont se the release of bubbles it just slowly goes back down again. I think I may have an air leak somewhere (maybe the stopper or the fermenter rim) because it does smell like...

    Hi. I remember seing a thread about the different infections but i cant find it I have just pitched my 5th brew last night. Early in the morning the bubbles have started but a few hours later most of the sediment floated. I havent seen this in my last 4 brews (been brewing the same recipe)...
