Petersburg Colonial Heights VA Home Brew Gatherings

Is there anyone in the Petersburg area that would be interested in getting together once a month to do a home brew share and critique. Would also like to connect with other brewers close to me to have brew days together. I have a 25 gallon brew kettle and an all grain set up if anyone wants...

My Garage Fridge Kegerator 4 tap

Garage fridge donated from a friend. Added some supports to the shelf to hold two sixtels. used some wood blocks in the bottom so the door will close. Currently use a paintball co2 tank and regulator in the fridge. Runs through a 6 port co2 distributor. Have two taps set up for pin lock...

    Counter flow chiller build

Spent an afternoon putting this chiller together. I used 18' 3/8 copper tubing that was left over from another project. I had a 20' water hose I no longer used that went into the project. The only additional parts were two t fittings, four hose clamps and a plumbing solder kit.

12k BTU Window AC Water Chiller

Put this together for a friend who does much larger batches than I do. It keeps two 200 gallon fermenters below 80 degrees during fermentation. With no cooling batches have hit 107 degrees. The chiller is outdoors with the controls indoors. All the original electronic controls were removed...

100 ft 3/4 inch copper immersion chiller.

I built this to cool 200 gallon batches for a friend. When you fill it with water the copper will not support the weight. My 3/8" chiller is next to it for reference. I am in the process of building a large reverse flow chiller to replace this.

    Budget HERMS build

This is what I came up with based on parts I had laying around from other projects. It uses two of the ChiCom Solar water pumps, an Auberins PID controller set to on/off, about 10' of silicone tubing, about 15' of 3/8 copper tubing and a couple 3/8" barbed fittings. After researching the...

    Side by Side Fermentation/Kegerator build.

Just getting started on my first official Home Brew Project. Picked up this GE GSS22JEMB WW side by side yesterday for $50 off craigslist. It has spent the past few years as a garage fridge so it is pretty rough on the outside but was very clean on the inside. It is in good operating...

    Hello from Colonial Heights VA.

My brewing experience is Zero. I like good beer. The problem with the beer I like is price and availability. I love Avery's Mephistopheles. Only problem is I can only get a 10 oz. serving locally for $14 a glass. I would love to learn to brew something along those lines. I plan on starting...
