Belgian Tripel Belgian Trippel (2006 World Beer Cup Gold Medal: Dragonmead Final Absolution clone)

Not sure why it got so low. Yes, it was all grain true to the original recipe. Mashed at 149. Used WLP500 with a starter. Fermented at 68 degs.

Belgian Tripel Belgian Trippel (2006 World Beer Cup Gold Medal: Dragonmead Final Absolution clone)

Thanks for the reply. Seemed like everyone else was finishing so much higher. I was afraid I may get poor results. I tried some today, it was ok but still very green as its only 2 weeks old. I will let you know how it turns out.

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

Brewed this beer up a few times now exact to the original recipe. Going to brew it up again this weekend. I have some Marris otter and some US 2 row I am think of subbing out for the Pilsner. Any thoughts on that? Going to try using 1450 yeast too. I don't like changing more than 1 thing at a...

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

Getting ready to finish my 15th gallon soon. Good stuff. I add nibs to the secondary to make it a chocolate milk stout. Funny thing, sitting on the porch at night I find that I have to cover the glass or I'll end up drinking a moth or two. They love swimming in it! I'd have some in every glass...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Recipe says batch size is 5.5 gal. Is that post boil volume before going into the fermentor? I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this a try this weekend. I've never made a beer this light, only doing it for friends and family. Very curious as to how much flavor it has...... Hope it's not too light...

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

I was wondering. Normaly if I pitch the proper amount of yeast, in this case 04, I can get to final gravity in a week or 2 at 60 deg followed a slow increase to 70. Can I cold crash at this point or should I give it a full month or so in the fermentor? Lately I've stopped using a secondary and...

my beer is just dripping out?

It will be fine. Gas it back up and you will pick up where you left off.

my beer is just dripping out?

Pull the pressure release pin. If the keg is indeed pressurized check the long dip tube and tap for clogs. Has to be something simple.

my beer is just dripping out?

Carbed up or not, it should still flow out at a steady rate. My money is on something block or assembled incorrectly.

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

I have to ask, why would you reroast the coco beans? They are already roasted. Have you had any bad experiences with soaking them in vodka?

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

Well this is going to be boiling away in the kettle this weekend! Have everything but the coffee. Think I'll use whole beans or maybe cruched a little. Also instead of adding the chocolate like the recipe state I think I'll just use 4 oz of the nibs soaked in vodka for 48 hrs like I do for my...
