    tap coupler jumper

That's exactly what I was looking for! But I got mine for $4 and spent a little time lovin' on it with a hacksaw. Cool though!

    tap coupler jumper

I got it boys and girls! Went to my local hardware store and found a 5/8 flare nut Union has the 7/8-14 thread. Of course it has the 45 degree flared tip, but that is easily solved with a hacksaw and a file. Now you can join your sanke tap jumpers together inside the kegerator and pump water...

    tap coupler jumper

I'd seen the ball lock jumper in another post... and I thought to myself, somone had the same idea as me! but I'm using the 7/8 - 14 tpi threads that are on my sanke(??) coupler. It is the same thread as on the shank going into the tap.

    tap coupler jumper

I'm looking for a way to couple my tap lines together using the 7/8-14 shank thread. I hate to buy a shank just to cut it off, so is there a source for a coupler? I'd like to use a recirulation pump to clean the lines and want to couple them together inside the keezer and inject water into...

    3 way valve?

Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but I'm trying to solve a problem. I made a keezer for the patio, and blew cold air up into it with a fan. I had insulated it with fiberglass, but still, had a terrible condensation problem. So this year, I decided to simply fill the whole tower up with...

    Thermostat upgrade

I'm making my first keezer using a 10cu ft igloo freezer. I got one of those STC-100 thermostats for $16 off amazon. Although the freezer name plate says it draws 1.3amps, it says it'll pull 20amps at startup. Most of the threads I've read say just run the freezer right off the relay inside...

    20 liter cask

Anyone ever use a 20liter oak cask as a coffin? Would a 10liter be big enough? I was thinking of standing a cask on it's end and drilling holes in the sides for the taps.

How to tell when keg is getting empty?

Is there a preferred method for tracking how much beer is left in a keg? Hand held hanging luggage scale? Bathroom scale under the keg? Since it takes so long for us to drink a keg, we lose track of how much is in there... usually finding out on friday night when the beer distributor is...

    My Keezer Build

I'm late to this thread... but wow... great job. I was looking for ideas for a trap door on top of the keezer, and MAN you really aced that. Soss hinges. Hadn't thought of that.

    Liquor dispensing

Didn't know they used nitrogen for wine... maybe this is a solution... esp if I decide to put guiness on tap one day! I think for now it'll be amberbock and some sort of cider for the wife. Here's a pic of our porch while it was under construction last year. The bar area will be U shaped on...

    Liquor dispensing

2 years ago we installed a pool, last year we created a covered porch with huge timbers and custom cut iron truss members. This year the project is the bar and kegerator under said porch. Once the bar is finished, I'm going to make a keezer to hold 2 kegs (pony and torpedo) and a corney keg...

Where to drill holes in a chest freezer?

Vodka slurry.... seems like a waste of good vodka (lol). I think water and corn starch would be more practical. since I could drink the vodka while waiting for the corn starch to freeze. Compressor hump is a spot I hadn't considered. It has the grill on it, so easier access from the end...

Where to drill holes in a chest freezer?

I've been searching google for a cutaway view of a chest freezer, but can't find what I think I need to see. I imagine that the refrigerant lines encircle the tub, but what about the bottom of the tub? Is it ok to drill an access hole in the bottom? I know there's a drain but I'd also like to...

    Dispensing question

Since liquor won't go bad with exposure to air, I may just get a small air tank and fill it from my workshop compressor. I think a test is in order though... it would certainly be nice to use one CO2 bottle for all. What I have found is that a compression 3/8 fitting uses a 9/16 straight...

Another Keezer to add to the list

Nice! Where'd you get the bar edging?

    Dispensing question

Hope you guys don't mind my asking a question about a keezer. We're covering our patio by the pool this summer and making a bar area. I already have a kegerator, but it won't work in the planned bar, so I gotta make a keezer with a coffin. While I'm at it, I'd like to get a corny keg for...
