Here in Southern California, 2 of my hops I planted last year, just broke ground. I am hoping for some nice cones this year...

I got my rhizomes a while back and they have been in the ground for 2-3 weeks, and have not broke ground yet. I was sure they would sprout by now, so now I am afraid I killed them. I am not sure what I was thinking, but I tossed them in the freezer for about 1-2 hours instead of the fridge...

So I got home from the local brew shop, and realized I forgot to write down .5 lb of black patent malt. My recipe has: 9.5 lb. 2-row .75 victory .75 chocolate .5 crystal 80L forgot .5 Black patent So my question is do I mash without it? I will still fall...

So I did my 3rd batch of my American Pale/Amber Ale... Fits in both categories. Well I didn't pay attention to my log or much less anything and bottled this last batch to early I believe. My bottling FG was 1.018, no I didn't take readings 3 days apart like I should have... I had 3 batches...

So I just went into my lil closet to show my buddy my beer in my carboy, and the bung was blown off! It could not have been off for more then 24 hours because I just took it out of Primary and put it into secondary last night... Everyone think it's okay? Stupid bungs and carboys!

I just finished a batch I have been working on, this is the 3rd batch, each time I play a little more with the recipe... Man it came out hard I bumped my steeping, "crystal 20 to crystal 40, kept the same volume of 1 pound... It's a pale ale which I plan on entering in competition... Good...
