    New trader questions and comparisons

I see, that is very enlightening and sobering information haha. So chocolate rain probably won't happen either? It seems closer than BADL. Hm. So I'm looking at BA Plead the 5th. Or just regular Dark Lord eh?

    New trader questions and comparisons

Huh this is all great info. Like I said I'm definitely going to do some more research, but I'll probably want to trade the hunaphu for other brewery only imperial stouts. Anyone have suggestions of East coast shelf beers/Brewerys I should try to get my hands on by trading what we have...

    New trader questions and comparisons

I would be interested! But I need to do more research on what I really want. And I'm pretty sure I need 100 posts.

    New trader questions and comparisons

Yeah. Actually a local store gets a lot of their stuff. Also, the brewery is only about 45 minutes from my house. I have a few Hunahpus from last year :)

All good advice. I like that thinking TheMan. Just from the little that i've seen going around Heady Topper seems like a delicious brew. Three Floyds seems to have a large variety of popular beer, especially Zombie dust. We just started getting Founders down here, but I would love to try the...

    New trader questions and comparisons

So if I were to summarize what everyone is saying it would be that starting out it is good to just do $4$ trades to pick up some brews that aren't distributed in my area to get the hang of things. After I am more familiar I will get a better idea of prices/trades for special releases/rarer beer.

    New trader questions and comparisons

Yeah that makes sense. I must just have to make a trip out to the PNW at some point and do trading mostly to the East Coast and Midwest. That's a good comparison. I noticed that looking at some of the trade threads it seemed a lot easier going. I'm assuming people usually just do the price...

    New trader questions and comparisons

Josh, so is it is usually about 10 bucks to ship? And yeah that makes sense with starting off here. I imagine I will try to stick to here as well. Thanks for the helpful comparison TheMan. Yeah that makes sense. I had a clone of Pliny the other day, and it was super tasty, but it was...

What Beer Turned You on to Craft Beer?

I remember the first inspiration - seeing Grolsch swing-top bottles in my grandpa's refrigerator when I was 15 years old. The bottles were unique to anything I had seen, so I decided that when I was old enough I wanted to drink the fancy beer. This started with some of the bigger commercial...

Thanks! Those are the vibes I was getting forsure. I also have seen a lot of talk about the addictive qualities of trading and its impact on your wallet, so I am going to have to be careful.

    New trader questions and comparisons

I have been drinking craft beer for a bit, and did my first homebrew a few months ago. I have lurked a lot on Beer Advocate and have always been interested in trading. At first I really wanted to get my hand on some of the rarer beers, but then caught a wiff of condescension towards people...

    Cigar City Jai Alai Clone

Wow thanks Jakeasaur. Good job with that taste test and all. I love Jai Alai and am definitely going to do this. Has anyone thought about aging this to emulate their humidor series (aged on "spanish cedar" )or White Oak Aged Jai Alai? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Home Brew mobile app

    How did you find us?

Good 'ol google. Been lurking forums for a while, starting when I was 16 and got my first car. (Thank goodness I never got into tricking out my 4 cyl Ford) Found that forums are one of the best resources available for free on the internet, so naturally when I started to homebrew the WWW...

P.S. Its funny to see similar threads and get reminded that there is nothing new under the sun, even the clever thread title of "Greeting, Earthlings" haha
