    ZChiller Counterflow?

    Just brewed an oatmeal stout on Sunday and used the Zchiller for the first time. It got the boiling wort into my conical at 69 degrees in under 8 minutes. With 63 degree ground water. Was really impressed. Little pricey but well worth it and looks really cool too.

    Came in the mail a day after I brewed. But I tested it out with 5 gallons of boiling water and it got it down to 70 with 65 ground water in under 4 min. Looks like it will be a nice addition and way better than my 50' immersion chiller.

    need help with fly sparge runoff

    I had the same issue about a year ago. Same setup as you have. My problem was the fitting beneath the false bottom was really close to the cooler. I just cut some slots in it with a hacksaw about 1/2" long and my next batch went perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
