So my brother in law has a kegerator that was purchased from a kegerator website and now after about a year it makes a sort of popping noise that happens randomly. Does anyone know what this could be?

I am wanting to make an rye IPA but I wanted to use another malt than 2-row. I have been leaning towards a Vienna rye IPA. I am trying to get some more malt flavor than the 2-row gives me. How do you think the Vienna and rye would go together?
