    Candy cane porter

agreed would like to know. I crushed 10 candy canes and added them to a stout recently and i could very much smell the peppermint as I was adding the yeast.

    Butterbeer (yes, of HP fame)

Well this most recent batch is complete and all I can say is WOW! I was truly going for an over the top, extremely sweet, and flavorful beer. I can say without a doubt that I completed my goal with flying colors. I'll be brewing this one more time to try and get the mouthfeel right, but this...

    Butterbeer (yes, of HP fame)

I'm making round 2! Its already in primary as we speak. I didn't add the tablespoon of cinnamon at the end of the boil. But I did add the molasses at the end of the boil instead of at the end of high krausen. This time my recipe was a little different but not too different. 3.3lbs light LME...

    Butterbeer (yes, of HP fame)

I got impatient Saturday night and decided to crack open a bottle a week before carbonation was complete. Despite being a little flat I think it turned out pretty good! It is very very heavy on the caramel flavoring. I ended up using Vanilla Butter Nut Extract (imitation). No idea what it...

appreciate some help with an Innus & Gunn Clone

My final abv was 7.38% I converted to an extract recipe so no I did not boil down my rubbings. I aged in primary for month and secondary for two months. It is wayyyy too oaky I think bottle conditioning for 6 months or more will help a lot with that.

appreciate some help with an Innus & Gunn Clone

I don't know about the math but I just made an innus & gunn clone based off that same recipe. I just took the all grain recipe to my local shop and they converted it all for me. I used hungarian oak (50grams) soaked in captain morgan private stock for a month during primary. I also added 3...

    Butterbeer (yes, of HP fame)

I followed the initial recipe on the first page but made a few additions. I added some lactose in with 10 minutes left in the boil. I also added 6 caramel chews (Trader Joes Brand) and 1 tbsp of raw honey with 5 minutes left in the boil. It is in primary fermentation now and I plan on racking up...

Critique my Sam Adams Hazel Brown Clone

Chicha de Jora No Spit Necessary!

My revised recipe that I have not been able to try yet. If you are able to make it I'd love to hear about your experience! 2.5 cups Dried Long Fibered Sphagnum- boiled for 10 minutes (in place of hay/straw) 8 lbs dried, flaked yellow maize≈5 gallons when saturated 2.5 gallons of water 2...

Chicha de Jora No Spit Necessary!

So I just gained access to Netflix a few weeks ago and the other night I stumbled upon the Chicha episode of Brewmasters and seeing that 3-5 day turnaround time I just had to make it! So I did some research around the interwebs and developed my own recipe. I just really didn't want to take the...

    Raleigh Brewer

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to brewing and I've learned a lot just from reading through old posts on here. I've made 2 kit beers and 3 homemade recipes, a Traditional American Stout and an Oatmeal Stout from kits and a Milk Stout (based on Left Hand Milk Stout clone recipe I found here), a...
