Anyone know if there's much of a difference with using an aluminum pot instead of a stainless steel one for boiling the wort? My dad has an aluminum one he uses to boil lobsters and stuff which he said I could use instead of buying a steel pot to brew my beer. Thoughts?
Anyone have a website they recommend for buying homebrew equipment? I need a new thermometer and some other little things but there's no stores near me locally.
I have two buckets, one for fermenting and one for bottling (the one with a spicket). I stupidly filled the wrong bucket and now I'm worried my beer won't ferment. Does the spicket matter? It's only been 24 hours. What can I do to save this IPA I'm brewing?
