    Columbus, OH

Howdy- I just moved to Columbus, OH. I was fortunate to have a nice home brew emporium where I previously lived. Anybody from the Columbus area have insight on good home brew shops around town? Thanks. E.t.h.

    One week primary fermenation

Howdy- I brewed a dunkelweizen on the 28th of April, SG was 1.058. Past two days the SG has been 1.020. Is the consistent SG an indication that I can bottle, seems a bit quick? I would normally wait two weeks but I have been trying to go based on SG. Thanks. E.t.h.

    Plastic carboy

Howdy- Does anyone have experience with turning a 5 gallon Poland Springs plastic carboy into a fermenting vat? Is that something that can be done without much complication? Thanks E.t.h.

    Starter yeast

Howdy- New to the game. I am planning on getting into starter yeast with stir plate. Is there a general ratio for the amount of DME and starter yeast per fermenter? How much DME for 1 gallon? 5 gallon? etc. Will a 1000 mL Erlenmeyer be sufficient for small batch brewing or would it be wise...

    Bubbling at time of bottling

Howdy - I am at the time for my first bottling. The fermentation is still producing bubbles, not anything crazy but active. I am 17 days post after transferring to the fermenter. Still okay to bottle or should I wait until things calm down? Thanks. E.t.h.

    Taste between ferment and bottling

Tasting between fermenter and the bottling, Is it a good indicator of the final product or does bottling process continue to change the taste?
