I'm making a 1 gallon Bavarian Hefeweizen. I got the recipe from Northern Brewer and pieced together the recipe. It calls for 3.5 grams of German Perle Hops. At my LHBS all I could buy was 2oz of German Perle. Any idea how long the rest of the hops will last if I try to get all the oxygen...

When you talk about stabilize is that Potassium Sorbate or metabisulfite?

Mashing in on a 1 Gallon Brooklyn Brewshop Everyday IPA. Hopefully it turns out good.

Try Wal-Mart. I just bought mine a couple weeks ago online and had to shipped to store for free.

I talked to a liquor store and they let me pay the deposit for someone and take home the keg. I think I paid $30 for a quarter keg. It works for what I need right now.

Thanks for the help. The last time I brewed a 5 gallon kit was October of 2011. My friend helped me brew it. I believe it was an American Light kit. The recipe had us boil half the amount of water and then top off. For what it's worth I'll get a half keg and do the work to it. Thanks again.
