    Annova Sous Vide Cheese Making

That was my question. What do you gain by using the hot plate to heat if the annova has the capability? Also, running milk through the annova can't be good for it. It was designed for water. How can you be sure you're getting it absolutely clean and bacteria isn't growing inside?

    Annova Sous Vide Cheese Making

Putting the anova in the milk? That sounds like asking for trouble eventually. I've had good luck just putting my pot with milk in a water bath heated by the sous vide circulator. I'm not sure that the hot plate is adding anything beneficial?

From http://amazingribs.com/tips_and_technique/curing_meats.html Not a definitive answer, but it is at least a partial reason for, "why."

Plastic Liquid Disconnect... Green residue? Patina? Finish worn off?

That's concerning. I should probably check mine. I usually just clean in place so I haven't disconnected the tubing in a long time. Might have to look into investing in some stainless ones.

Anyone know where I can get these disconnect gaskets?

I can't say I've ever had to replace these so you should probably double check the dimensions of the ones in the links below. All my other seals I've bought in bulk from Mcmaster. Homebrewfinds.com says these will work:Link It's no cheaper, but you get 100 of them. Based on the...

MENARD'S Criterion chest freezer, anyone keezer it?

It's pretty hard to find anything out on these freezers and it's been a few years since this thread was started. Anyone have any experience using these as a keezer now? Edit: I checked out the 9.6 cubic foot one. Dimensions on the lower part are 20.5x23. Using 8.5 inch circles, it looks like...

Are all CO2 tanks food safe?

Yup, most of the cost for them is labor, the actual co2 is cheap. If the 20# is even double the cost of the 5#, he's paying too much.

    Intertap beer faucets

Yes, the spring just compresses more with standard shanks compared to intertap shanks. It requires a little more force to pull the handle for a pour, but worked fine for me otherwise.

    Bar Build Part 2: 8-tap Through-the-Wall Keezer

Do you have clear gas lines? Or is there some other way you can tell? I never would have thought this could be an issue with check valves.

    Ventmatics 2 faucets...

No, the threads are not interchangeable between ventmatic and intertap faucets.

    Intertap beer faucets

Maybe I'm reading your post wrong, but not all rear seal faucets are self closing. I can't say I've ever had a person pour from my taps and left them open because they thought they were self closing.

Need help making a stainless steel auto siphon

I really don't know what you're arguing. Ponzi schemes guaranty quick returns by using later investor's money to pay earlier investors. Nothing like crowd funding.

Need help making a stainless steel auto siphon

There are plenty of reasons for people to be skeptical of crowd funding, but Ponzi scheme's deal with investing and do not apply to crowd funded products in any way.

Need help making a stainless steel auto siphon

As of their latest Kickstarter update on Nov 4th, they expected to receive the first shipment from China in mid to late Dec with delivery to kickstarter backers in January. There's been no update since then. As you mention, I assume indiegogo shipments will be sometime after that.

Low acid apple juice - good or bad?

If the pH is above 3.8 or 4, I think you'll surely want to add some acid now to get it down a bit.

3D Printed Drip Tray for kegerator

I believe it is PVA that is used as a support material for 3d printing, though I don't recall if it dissolves in water or some other chemical solution.

3D Printed Drip Tray for kegerator

PLA will absorb some moisture which could change the size and fit up of parts if they're close tolerance, but it isn't water soluble and won't dissolve.

3D Printed Drip Tray for kegerator

Yes, I guess I meant to say bare plastic 3d printed parts are hard to make water tight. There are plenty of sealants that will do the job. I didn't know plastidip was food grade though. Thanks for that.
