    Custom Tap Handles

So been a while since I posted, brewed or built anything. Well here are a few more tap handles I recently made. Hope to make more during Christmas break. May try making some to sell.

    BIAB Keggle Design

Looks really kool. I would almost suggest collapsable outriggers for stability on brew day. Something that just folds down and locks into place to keep it from tipping.

    First-time Brett help

I like the Demented Dubel. Sounds like your brew day for your first Bret went like mine. I shall follow this and see how it goes.

    Another custom tap handle

Finally decided to get an idea out of my head and into steel. This is 100% scrap steel. The clover is the only non-stainless material. You can see what I cut up to get that. The shaft portion is part of a sanke keg tube from one of the many tips I have laying around. Inspired by and will be...

Stainless steel keg used as a brew pot

As you can see yes you can use a stainless steel keg as a brewing tool. I have used one for all my brews except one. My current keggle does not have a ball valve as I have not had the money nor the setup for one yet. I simply chill then rack to primary. Worked for about 20+ batches so far. Lol...

Best way to cut the top off of a keg

My two cents. Do NOT use harbor freight disc. They are cheap and dangerous. I've had them explode on me while I was notching a truck frame. Thank god I wear safety glasses and a face shield. I got some decent ones from Lowes. Under $2 a piece.

My Brewstand with pics (coming along)

Bad arse man! I have a bit of fabricating background and am dying to get my funds together to build a stand. I really like the idea of partially automated.

    Well now that was fun.

All cleaned up and bigger blowoff tube used. Now to get the temp down. It's heated up from the inside.

    Well now that was fun.

Fixing to. It's still like a friggin volcano. Going to use bigger blowoff tube this time.

    Well now that was fun.

Brewed my first attempt at several things. First black/brown double IPA, first double IPA, first time pitching on an existing yeast cake and my first experience w/ an OG over 1.100. Well decided to start fermentation at a cooler temp and left the Black Abyss in the garage. Glad I did. This was...

Neighbor says my rig looks like a Meth Lab

Ha nice thread. I often wonder how many looks I get. The immediate neighbors know I brew. The down side is I live in MS so it IS illegal. I never worry though now it appears a MS highway patrol officer is moving in across the corner so we shall see.

New post a picture of your pint

This was mine last week when I brewed. It's a basic 7% pale ale dry hopped w/ 2oz of Amarillo hops. Was my first ever on keg. I've bottled every bit up until this.

    American Wheat Beer American Wheat

Update this thing turned out pretty good and easy drinking. It took a few weeks to age and not taste so green. It's got a good cloudy color and nice floral aroma with a creamy white foam head.

    Pin Lock gas/beer line connector

Thanks and yes. That's what I was asking. I was able to get it to work. It hold pressure and doesn't leak. I fully understand that the cost is not that much but after what I've spent and having some med bills pop up with the kids that $7 is sometimes gas for the day to get to work. Hell I've...

    Pin Lock gas/beer line connector

K I did a bit of searching and couldn't find an answer. I recently bought a used kegerator that came with 4 taps, 20lb co2 sever kegs & a 2 tap jockey box. Anyways the whole ensemble only has two (2) gas line fittings. Meaning I can only have two items on tap at a time. Question I have is I...

    American Wheat Beer American Wheat

Thanks for posting this. I just used this as base for my first AG wheat. I recently obtained a LOT (over 250 lbs) of old grain, mostly stored properly. Due to it being old I did up the amounts on grains & hops just to be safe. Also substituted Saaz & Strisslespalt for the tettnang. I also...

Belgian Blond Ale Revvy's Belgian Blonde (Leffe Clone)

Omg I have not read all of the pages and comments but have to say that is one of the BEST legal disclaimers ever! Oh and thanks for the recipe I'm going to read the comments and possibly tackle this soon.
