    Best canned crafts?

In Maine we have some good stuff from Baxter brewing in cans, especially their Stowaway IPA. Not sure if you can get it in your neck of the woods though....

What's your definition of a "BIG" brew day.

My buddies and I did an all grain batch, an extract batch, bottled a 5 gallon batch of beer and a 5 gallon batch of wine in an afternoon pretty comfortably. That was with three of us working on it.

    What Beer...

Harpoon IPA! And it remains a favorite to this day.

    Anyone here allergic to hops?

I have a friend who swears he is allergic to hops because he sneezes when he drinks beer, especially IPAs. Not sure if it is a real allergy for him or just coincidence. It doesn't seem to slow him down too much though....

    Which styles to start selling?

The Pale Ale and American IPA are both good standard beers to have. Also, isn't Brazil somewhat overrun by BMC type beers? Maybe something like a Kolsch/cream ale would be good to spark some interest from locals. Good luck!

One bottle bomb--should I be worried about others?

Seeing as you've got them in a rubbermaid in a closet and there isn't much you can do about it now, I wouldn't worry about it. Just be prepared for what may happen when you open them. (My buddy redecorated his kitchen with an over-carbed hefeweizen last night... That was fun to watch.)

    How to Determine IBU's???

Hopville's beer calculus works well, and you can't beat the price. (free!)

How to reduce abv w/o reducing flavor?

You could always find some friends to drink with...

do you brew more or drink more?

Between what I and my brewing-buddies have brewed lately, I think I've only had three store bought beers in the past 4 months... Pretty cool when you think about it. I think the motivation to let beer age and get to its full potential keeps me from drinking so much. Quality over quantity...

If you were to brew a batch of beer for a wedding...

All these suggestions are great. Hopefully I'll get around to brewing this week[end]. I'll update with what I finally decide to brew! Bird

If you were to brew a batch of beer for a wedding...

I wish! I'm expecting a pretty average crowd of beer consumers, thus keeping it simple. I leaned a little towards hefeweizen or witbier since I know many people who are tuned off by strong hop flavors, however a well balanced amber/red could be good options as well. BrightSpot, I'll send...

If you were to brew a batch of beer for a wedding...

What would it be? I have a couple friends getting married this May and they are doing all homebrew for their reception. Thus, a friend and I are each brewing a 5 gallon batch for them as gifts. The other batch of beer is a pretty standard Hefeweizen, and I am looking for...

    Liquidating my home brew

That is the way to do it. Last beer tasting night I had netted me 16 bombers and a few others. And lots of tasty beer. :rockin:

    Something for summer

Hefeweizen or a good IPA are both excellent summer beers. I'm thinking I'll be brewing both shortly in preparation for the warm months.

Do you have a guilty pleasure beer??

I didn't know people didn't know about PBR! It is a way of life up here. Though to be fair, they have no advertising campaign that I have ever seen. Bird

Do you have a guilty pleasure beer??

I don't necessarily publicize my affinity for PBR, but especially for enjoying in the outdoors it can't be beat. It is best when consumed near freezing during a day of backcountry skiing...

    Brewing in Maine

Hey All. Finally joined after lurking about this forum for a while. I've got to say this is one of the best collections of homebrewing knowledge I've found. Anyway, my buddy and I have been brewing since the new year and between the two of us have brewed a Stout from extract and an IPA...
