HLT Help Needed - Unfixable leak

Greetings, friends! I've been having trouble with my HLT made with a Rubbermaid 10g cooler. It worked well for many years, but recently has started to leak from the connection point of the bulkhead. I've tried tightening, changing around the fittings, putting in more washers, but nothing wonks...

Poor beer quality with conical fermenter

I purchased a 14 gal SsBrewtech Chronical fermenter about a year ago and every beer I have made since has not come out well. My previous beers, which I fermented in 6 gallon glass carboys, were coming out better and better. Once I introduced the Chronical, however, my beer has off tastes...

Dry hopping in a SS Brew Tech Chronical

I'm curious why you are opposed to using glass marbles.

14 gal chronical - son of a fermentation chiller

I wanted to build a Son of a Fermentation Chiller, but I ran into two problems: 1) I live abroad and didn't have access to any sort of insulation. 2) My fermenter is a 14 gal SSBrewtech Chronical. So I made some measurements, collected some wood, found some styrofoam coolers from a local...

    Thermostat Wiring Help!!

I'm building a SOFC as well. I'm looking for a DC adapter for my computer fan. Does anyone have any specific suggestions. I was thinking of getting this one. Thanks!

Son of Fermentation Chiller - Electronics High Pitch Whine

Okay, I decided to connect the fan directly to the adapter to see if I could get it to run on the wires I selected. It did not run. I stripped all the wires and tried multiple combinations to no avail. Then I realized that my adapter does not say "DC" on it. Yikes! So I found an old adapter...

Son of Fermentation Chiller - Electronics High Pitch Whine

Hey all. I thought this might be the best thread since I'm building with mostly the same equipment as listed by the first poster. Honeywell Thermostat from Home Depot (Model # CT31A) Insignia 120 mm case fan from Best Buy (assume 12V although does not say) Old Vonage 12V plug I've wired it as...

    Therminator vs Duda Diesel

This IS very good to know. I almost hit the buy button. I haven't fully determined how I'll run the water through the plate chiller. I was assuming I'd just run it from the sink, but could also push it through with a March pump (I have two). But that would mean filling up a pretty big tank of...

    Therminator vs Duda Diesel

Any other thoughts on this original post? I'm in between the Blichmann Therminator and the equivalent Duda Diesel.

Chugger Pump Modular Waterproof GFCI Box

I'm wondering if you ever did this. I'm in the same situation where I'd like my pumps on separate switched outlets. Any updates or pictures would be great.

Remove plastic tubing from new March pump?

It's a decent point. Being so small and angling upon entry into the pump casing gave me the impression that they were there to stabilize something and not for oil. But, again, I would also assume that if they were to be removed before using they would have at least put that message on there!

Remove plastic tubing from new March pump?

Can you past the link again? It didn't work. Thanks!

Remove plastic tubing from new March pump?

I'll look again on the website. I didn't have anything with the pump that indicated how frequently to oil.

Remove plastic tubing from new March pump?

Yes, they are both in line with one another. There was nothing that said "remove before operating", so I assumed they must have another function.

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

Finally got some pumps so I don't have to lift anymore. Dropped my home made 3 tier system into essentially a 1 tier system. Trying the pumps out for the first time today. Wish me luck!

Remove plastic tubing from new March pump?

I'm finally getting my brew setup with electric pumps. I unpacked the March pump today and saw that it had two small plastic tubes on the front and back. Does anyone know if these are to be removed before operation? I was surprised that there were no instructions included with the pump. Thanks!

Which March pump should I buy?

Good points. I do take care of my equipment as if it were a baby. I'm leaning toward the stainless steel. Thanks for the input.

Which March pump should I buy?

I am having trouble understanding the difference between these two pumps. http://www.homebrewing.org/March-815-Stainless-Steel-Beer-Pump_p_5228.html http://www.homebrewing.org/March-Pump-Center-125-HP-Brewing-Pump-w-cord_p_2918.html I am upgrading my setup to include pumps, and want to...
