    Wiring issues

I am currently in the process of turning a side by side fridge into a kegerator/ferm chamber. I have read that I should be using 12 gauge wire but as I have some extra 16 gauge sitting around I was curious if anyone knew if I could just use that instead? I don't want to short out either the...

    Kegerator thermostat

I am turning a side by side fridge into a kegerator/ferm chamber. Is there a major difference between the stc - 1000 and the inkbird itc-1000 or is it just personal preference? Any help would be greatly appreciated for a newbie!

I am working on plans for a basement brewery as well. What material did you use for the back splash on the wall behind your kegs? I want to make sure whatever I place back there lasts awhile.

    Stir bar problems

I used 1/4x1/4 rare earth magnets. the space between the two is nominal I have the fan pushed up inside the case almost as far as it will go. I would say there is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch space between bar and magnets with it in the jar. And yes the fan spins great. Everything works as it should if...

    Stir bar problems

I just made my first stir plate and after messing around with the magnets I was able to get the stir bar to spin without being thrown. The new problem I have is that once I put the stir bar in liquid it won't spin. I was wondering if this was a problem with the bar or the magnets not being...

    Pivot ring stir bar

My buddy and I are making our first stir plate but the only stir bars we have been able to find typically have something called a pivot ring on them. Is this a big deal or should we keep looking to find one without the ring?

    carboy vs plastic buckey

I've seen many people talking about using a glass carboy or a better bottle for their secondary. What is the advantage of this versus using a second fermentation bucket? I know the secondary is not absolutely necessary but I'm still curious
