Left to right: Apfelwein(Hard Cider), Pliny the Elder IIPA, American Wheat Ale, Stone IPA. In total, about 20 gallons of fermentation in process.
Now the hard part, waiting for it to be ready..but then its :mug:
I started to attach the casters directly to the fridge..but i wasnt sure the metal on the bottom was thick enough to withstand the forces of the 5 gallon kegs. So, i ended up building a small dolly cart..nothing too special about it, just a platform with some tight fitting sides acting like cleats.
Yep, I drilled through the 4 balls and inserted a 5/16" threaded rod lol..that sounds bad. Coated the threaded rod with epoxy and slid the balls on like a beef kabob. THen obviously drilled a bigger hole in the bottom ball for the thread insert.

a huge thread with numerous ways to make this dream a reality
First, a big thanks to the HBT guys that posted excellent directions on how to make this possible. Took major guts for me to tear the top off and start carving out insulation. I guess it wouldnt have been a big deal if it were an old fridge....but a new one with a stainless front...phew - glad...
just finished brewing this recipe @ about 3pm, as of right now @ 6:13pm...its bubbling away.
Cant wait to try this one out..looked so good already, even gave it a swig after chilling. So sweet yet, sooooooo bitter, cant get the taste out of my mouth.
:drunk:
nicely done, love the addon for the temp probe. Those look like hockey shin pads in one of the photos...hockeyplaying homebrewer...just like me :rockin:
Has anyone used "push to connect" fittings to do their sight glass? Just wondering if they will hold up to the repeated removal of the sight glass when cleaning the keggle.

+1 on this bulkhead design, worked great..no leaks. Little tricky to silver solder the washer to the copper fitting but it was kinda like sweating regular copper, just alot hotter.
