    Ventilation help

Might be a bit extreme but would be plenty big enough to do the job - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008MLK3LU/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

    3 tier system using pulleys

peristaltic pumps for the win...albeit not as cost effective as a march pump, but you would have no fear at all being able to see inside the tubing.

    Fermenting Carboy Beer Pron

Left to right: Apfelwein(Hard Cider), Pliny the Elder IIPA, American Wheat Ale, Stone IPA. In total, about 20 gallons of fermentation in process. Now the hard part, waiting for it to be ready..but then its :mug:

    My frigidaire kegerator build

I started to attach the casters directly to the fridge..but i wasnt sure the metal on the bottom was thick enough to withstand the forces of the 5 gallon kegs. So, i ended up building a small dolly cart..nothing too special about it, just a platform with some tight fitting sides acting like cleats.

    My frigidaire kegerator build

Yep, I drilled through the 4 balls and inserted a 5/16" threaded rod lol..that sounds bad. Coated the threaded rod with epoxy and slid the balls on like a beef kabob. THen obviously drilled a bigger hole in the bottom ball for the thread insert.

    My frigidaire kegerator build

Dang, thats disappointing. One would think that if the beer faucets are actually made to pour beer, they would be able to do the job well. :(

    My frigidaire kegerator build

First, a big thanks to the HBT guys that posted excellent directions on how to make this possible. Took major guts for me to tear the top off and start carving out insulation. I guess it wouldnt have been a big deal if it were an old fridge....but a new one with a stainless front...phew - glad...

    Push to connect fitting

yea, there is always a plan B, i had the push connect fittings on hand and comp fittings, just no silicone o-ring atm.

    Push to connect fitting

Has anyone used "push to connect" fittings to do their sight glass? Just wondering if they will hold up to the repeated removal of the sight glass when cleaning the keggle. for reference: www.mcmaster.com part #: 5483K41

Still a work in progress...although it works quite well. Typical RIMS setup with dual peristaltic pumps

    $3 Weldless Kettle Bulkhead

+1 on this bulkhead design, worked great..no leaks. Little tricky to silver solder the washer to the copper fitting but it was kinda like sweating regular copper, just alot hotter.

    Keggle Drilling Problems

yep, gotta 2nd this recomendation..heck of alot easier than drilling a 7/8" hole in stainless, lots faster and alot easier.
