I had a similar issue. Ended up going through hours on the phone with support until they came out and replaced the LNB and all the hardware between the LNB and the hopper. No issues since.

I think you're doing this wrong, too nice. Next time give him the answer that is wrong for some reason he is too simple to grasp. Then work on the whatever drawing u know is right. When whoever screams at him comes screaming give them the right one.
I have a 20G Concord with a basket. I can brew 10g batches with ease. My system has 2.5" of dead space under the basket. The only trickey part is judging how much water will result in a good mash and a good after boil volume.
Honestly, I think that is a simple wet mold. If the hops had been saturated in beer it would not have happened. Since the mold had food below and a dry environment above the beer line to grow, it did.
Do you have any proof of the highlighted portion, it goes against what I would consider to be reasonable sense. I just want to know it's not.
