TLDR: Yet another "Will this thing in the pic kill me?" thread. Story: Hey hey. Been away from brewing a few years (baby). Back at it now. Brewed a batch a few weeks ago. There was a bit left over after filling my fermenter to a happy point so I plopped the rest in a sterilized mason jar. Put...
Why the pilsner? In the blog post tasting notes it mentions vienna as the base malt. If you cut the pilsner then you could drop most of the crystal I'd imagine.
Right? I think it should be dubbed the Seinfield syndrome... "what's the deal with airplane food?? Am I right?" I imagine folks wearing terrible pleated acid washed jeans while they type these posts.
Man I love a shower beer! Nothing finer. My go-to for that've application is the SN kellerweis, though never straight from the bottle. Has to be a handled mug for the shower. Safety people! It is a special occasion activity though. After an especially long day.
Sat down to grub on some barbecue (Black Dog in Urbana, IL. Legit.) and asked the bartender what was new on tap. She poured me a Stone Mutt Brown Ale. I drank it. And then I drank another. And then another. Washed it down with some smoked pork belly. Wife had to roll me home. Its been a few...
I grabbed a few of these from Meijer on clearance after Christmas. Brewed up the stout. Fermented really poorly. I was lazy and just used the dry yeast packet that came with it. I have a feeling it would have been fine if I had just run to the lhbs to grab a fresh yeast. My $.02, YMMV.

Hey Folks,
Doing one of my first (maybe the third?) AG BIAB brew, no kit. The grain bill is set, as its already milled into a single bag. The yeast is set also, pulling out from under a mild on brew day, washing and pitching. The hop schedule is open for debate. I guess its somewhere on the...
So I had a batch timed to be ready for the birth of my son. Well he decided he had reached FG a few weeks before the beer! So now it's been in primary (in his nursery ) for about four months. I finally have an afternoon free to bottle (tomorrow).
The question- do I need to add some yeast at...
Thanks! Oh, and another favorite bit. The knob for the rheostat is off a pair of Rectilinear Mini-III's (rather uncommon speakers from the 70's). I've had them forever, needed new tweeters and a recap job but never got around to it. This hobby is far more drinkable anyway. :mug:
