im going to leave my ESB in its primary for 4 weeks secondary for 5 days if needed and then bottle. i have always been a 1-2-3 guy but the more i talk to local brewers the more i hear i should leave the yeast 4-6 weeks it seems:mug: i will give you all an up date on its conditition when it...

Have a good size magnet hold it on the outside of the flask/beaker of the starter to hold the bar in place and dump into the fermenter:mug: stir bar stays in place:rockin:
Last night was one Homebrew a pale, then the bridgeport beervana mix pack
a hop czar, a kingpin double red and a winter warmer ebenezer all very good :mug:
What was the temp you pitched at? did you see signs of vigorious fermentation? reading your OP you didnt mention cooling the 20L of boiling water after you mixed it all up befor you added the yeast.
EDIT: reading is hard! yeah 2L boiling 20L cool water nevermind im an idiot sometimes
as long as they enjoy it and dont ask why i don't make a BMC type beer (i simply choose not to) they can have all they want! :mug: I cant drink everything i brew so why worry.
If you want real constructive feedback attach a rate my beer survey to your hand outs that state a completed survey...
well, it is like a good bottle of your favorite spirt or a good bottle of wine no one looks askew at a 200$ bottle of wine or a $200 bottle of cognac
why any diffrence for a fine brew? its not like swilling a BMC for $200
