    New Rig is almost ready

    The black objects are solenoids for pilot gas and main. I am using honeywell S8610U ignition boards. Natural gas / propane conversion should be a simple oriface change at the burner and spring change in the 1 regulating valve I am using on the mash for better control

    Yes... splash shields for the pumps and shields around the burners to help with wind and / or roll-out

    Tested electric controls + ignition today... pid control not reading temp properly. I will update with pics tomorrow after testing gas side and hooking up hoses. Hoping for a water trial .

    What a DISASTER!

    I am a industrial hvac mechanic. The space is properly ventilated and gas, temp control is kinda my day to day. Who knows, I may opt for electric one day

    Made sense for my purposes - I wanted to keep it portable - Pulling 220v to my garage would a pain - I have been using gas up until now and just got comfortable with it ... I wont bore you with my rant on electricity prices in Ontario

    It is propane. I will have a pid loop control for the mash and HLT (to be installed this week). Pumps will be on switches. Burners are electronic ignition.

    Competition Advice

    Thanks for everyones help.... I entered it as a Witbeer and scored a 35 and 32 from the judges... Also grabbed a 10th place in peoples choice. :ban: Also got some great feedback for improving . Now I am more addicted than ever :mug:
