    stainless steel mash tun

Greetings Brewers, Currently we brew 11 gallon (to the fermenter) batches using a single tier (two pump) all stainless steel kettle setup. We have two 20 gallon kettles (HLT and Mash Tun) and a 25 gallon stainless brew kettle. For 12 years we used this system it produces good beer etc. My only...

    controlling wort collection rate

First off I want to graciously thank you fine brewers for your time and contributions to this thread. I know time is precious, so thank you very much for your input. We’ve been all grain for ten years, have a pretty nice home brewery and in my opinion we brew great beer as is. But as we fiddle...

    controlling wort collection rate

Greetings Brewers. I have a single tier 3 natural gas burner system with two march pumps for transferring my hot liquor and another for wort to boil kettle. My problem is how to easily control the amount of wort going from the mash tun into the boil kettle. I use a march pump and a 1/2 in ball...

    ss mash tun dimensions

We do 11 gallon batches. 25 gallon brew kettle, 20 gallon ss hot liquor tank, and when I figure out about the mash tun geometry, the mash tun. We're upgrading from sanke keggles.

    ss mash tun dimensions

Greetings Brewers: Just wondering if anyone has any feedback about the dimensions of a ss 20 gallon mash tun. Some are tall and thinner in diameter (Tall Boy), and some are say 20 OD and 16 inches high, and in a nutshell somewhat cheaper. Would like to go that route instead of say a "tall...

    false bottom

Our twenty gallon was a bit short during hot break and the sanke mash tun was a bit too small on some our IPA's.

    false bottom

Brewers, I just purchased a 25 gallon boil kettle and want to use my bayou classic 20 gallon kettle as my new mash tun. My question: Can I use my false bottom from my sanke keggle in the new 25 gallon brew pot. The false bottom I used on the sanke will be about 15 inches in diameter and the new...

    too bitter

I've been brewing all grain for 7 years and now I have an issue. Had some pump problems and lost track of sparging a Rye IPA. Sparged too fast and the og was 10 points low. I know....any the hop bill was for a 1070 beer not a 1060. Needless to say it's kegged and too bitter to be good. drinkable...
