Worker mixed my grains on accident, is it salvagable?

None that I am aware of. This is my second beer ive tried to brew so if this turns out bad I will probably try to come up with something else. I am okay with it not turning out okay because I need to practice and go through the motions even if it ocmes out bad.

Worker mixed my grains on accident, is it salvagable?

I realized after he had already bagged it and everything. I did not explicitly ask for it to be in two separate bags so it was just as much my fault as his. He gave it to me half off which was nice. I do think it may be too mixed to separate so I will probably just try to make the best of it.

Worker mixed my grains on accident, is it salvagable?

well it was two separate SMASH recipes. One was 5lbs MO, 1oz Amarillo , with Belgian Saison The other was supposed to be 5lbs German Pilsner , 1 oz Hellertau, with French Saison.

Worker mixed my grains on accident, is it salvagable?

I was planning on trying to do a BIAB recipe with two separate 5lbs batches. The worker misunderstood me and mixed both German Pilsner and my Maris Otter. I have Hellertau and Amarillo to work with. For yeast I have Nottingham, Wyeast French Saison, Belgian Saison, and Farmhouse Ale. Is...

Looking for most budget eBIAB set up

I like the way you think hah. I currently have two 4 gallon stainless steel pots but they are very thin bottoms. If I make a false bottom do you think that would work for a 2.5 gallon batch? I probably should practice small anyways before moving up to larger batches.

Looking for most budget eBIAB set up

In regards to your confusion, why can I not do both? I most likely will not do this because I would prefer NOT to tie up my kettle for long periods of time... but if I decided to allow the wort to chill over night as you describe what would prevent me from aerating the wort and pitching yeast...

Gotcha, I am assuming that only works with the plastic containers because they are flexible. Would allowing the wort to chill int he fermenter wrapped with sanitized aluminium foil be acceptable for no chill?

Looking for most budget eBIAB set up

I see. Currently being in an apartment that is not an option for me. Everything will function appropriately with 120v still though correct? Also, what do yall think about fermenting in this vessel as well? I think if I bring it to a boil to avoid the possibility of infections it might be best...

No I was not aware of that. It was my understanding that standard wall power was 120v Good point, sounds like this might be my best option then.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I will be using 120v as I am in the US. I will probably buy the jacket on your advice to speed up the boil times. There are people saying it is not intended to mash in this produced but I don't see how it could be a problem. Do you think that is advertisers trying...

Looking for most budget eBIAB set up

I am trying to get back into homebrew with a small footprint in the budget and physical space department. I had been looking at using a DigiBoil Electric Kettle for the purpose of BIAB. I am also hoping to do No Chill in the actual kettle overnight with the help of an added gasket to form a...

    Corn Syrup Mead?

Ahh, that is good to know. That is what I was considering using.

    Corn Syrup Mead?

Nutritionally it is the same. But I am not sure in terms of brewing. I may just experiment with it.

    Corn Syrup Mead?

    So helpful.

    Corn Syrup Mead?

I know it would be in a category all of its own and not a mead but I just was trying to think of a cheaper sugar to use other than mead
