Yea I used LaTeX in my senior thesis for college as well. Its been a while for me too haha. Yea I was just thinking of a way for others to help you out a bit on the documentation!

Are you building the PDF with LaTeX? It would be cool if you could add that LaTeX documentation to github so that people can help the user manual stay up to date. For example, the manual still states that the ramp works by taking 8 steps, but it looks like that has since been increased to 64 steps.

Yea true. I guess I just mean that it would be cool if it were able to detect that the temperature is not rising or maybe is falling and for it to trigger the heating to prevent it from going too low. Though when thinking about it more than profile seems very difficult to create.

You are right that would work as long as the chest freezer would reach 70 without a heater.

One feature that would be kind of cool is a "free rise" sometimes when fermenting a beer I want to have the temperature at maybe 65 degrees and then let it free rise from fermentation to 70 degrees and then hold at 70 degrees. I am not sure if this is possible or not.

I have no real soldering experience so I am planning on following figure 7 from the user manual. Will I need to worry about cleaning up the board at all if I attempt to use that approach? Would you just hold the pins in place by hand while flashing?

I'd like to let everyone know that I just got my order from amazon in and it is the proper V1 unit. Mine was an 'Elitech 110V All-Purpose Temperature Controller+ Sensor 2 Relay Output Thermostat Stc-1000' and it was distributed by 'LERWAY Tech' It may be a good chance that if you use my...

Does anyone have a link to an Amazon seller where they have gotten the proper STC 1.0 board? I already have a STC but it is v1.1 unfortunately. I'd like to order another but I'd really like to get the v1.0.

    Dispensing Soda

I'm interested in using carbonated water and syrups to dispense soda out of my kegerator when I am short a keg of beer. Right now I have 3 Perlick taps, each with 10' of line. I know that soda water needs to be carbed and served at around 30psi. 10' of line is nowhere near long enough but it...

    Perlick 525 SS faucet leaks

Man I have 4 525SS faucets. They haven't leaked yet but I'm worried that will end up starting to leak in the future. I wonder if its possible to exchange these for the new 630SS with the design flaws solved as a preventative measure.

We no need no stinking beer gun...

I used my homemade beer gun for the first time tonight and I was pleased. It worked nicely. However, I purchased a picnic faucet/liquid ball lock post specifically for this. It does not stay in my kegerator. Now I am wondering how to actually clean out the beer that is in the line. I have the...

    Whirlfloc Question

I've been stirring it using the chiller itself, about every 10 minutes when I walk out to check the temp. I'll try using a sanitized spoon this weekend, that would really stir it up a lot better. I also leave the lid on my wort, to prevent things from floating in but maybe that is overkill.

    Whirlfloc Question

Thanks Cainepolo, yea I can see how I'm not explaining my question well. I've never really had any hot break so I am not sure what its consistency is. If it were loosly clumped together it could pass through the strainer when pouring chilled wort into my fermentation bucket. But if it were more...
