Mine upgraded also on my phone and tablet. I noticed my BeerSmith 2 app was missing from my home page and when I looked on my app page the new BeerSmith 3 icon was there. So I just had to drag it back onto my home page again.

I got something like this, not very much and helps tremendously in the brewery.
If you do decide to ever get one just make sure it says it will go down to hundredths "x.xx"
Do you have a water report of the water you are using? Are you treating the water with any salts or acid, and do you have a pH meter? Sorry for all of the questions but I had to use all of these things to get my pale colored beers to come out right. I had no issues with darker beers and found...
Yeah I was wonder the same thing when I saw 116% mash efficiency. I actually came in 2 points higher then my expected gravity, (1.048 as opposed to 1.046) and I was about 1/2 gal. over on my estimated final Vol. I did a 90 min. mash and 90 min. boil, mash pH was 5.30 everything was pretty spot...
This is how I made mine and I am still using it a year later. I am pretty sure I had to sub the Sun-Oxi for Oxi-Clean fresh scent. It works very well and the fresh scent doesn't seem to matter; "I remember being concerned about that". During brew day I mix up a 5 gal bucket of this home made...
I just brewed a 10 gal. batch of "Cream of 3 Crops" yesterday and when I checked my calculated mash efficiency, BeerSmith said it was over 100%. I want to say it was something like 116%. Is that possible? I never really tracked this before but I thought it was interesting to say the least. I hit...
Honestly I have never had a grain-free finished wort into the boil kettle. I constantly recirculate through a rims setup but it is still the same principal. I also have a sight glass inline with the wort flow so I can see it better. I think you are always going to get some grains in there. How...
I brewed my second batch using BS3 on the 4th of July. We'll call it Independence IPA... Anyway, this batch seems to be going a lot better then my first batch did. I still had to use less citric acid then BS3 called for, but I kinda had this amount dialed in from the time I was using bru'n...
No actually Bru'n Water Is closer to correct, meaning I need to add less lactic acid then BS3 calls for. When I added what BS3 called for my pH dropped below normal range. If I would have added what Bru'n Water called for the pH would not have dropped as low and most likely would have ended up...
