For Sale Electric Brewery for Sale (Philly/South Jersey)

For sale is my electric brewery. All items are listed price OBO. Pick up only. Everything has been used for ~10 batches over the last 18 months. Sadly, just not enough time to brew anymore. Hoping to find a new home for my trusted equipment. Happy to get additional pics if desired. LMK if you...

    Stronger heater for Kveik fermentation

Thanks for the replies-- I should add that the fermenter is insulated, and when the winter months really kick in, I cozy a portable (but rather large) oil heater right up to the cf5. Even with that, I can't get the temp reliable above 81-82.

    Stronger heater for Kveik fermentation

Hey all, So I have an issue from last winter that I'm trying to address proactively this year. I have a brew room that is not super well insulated and has no HVAC vents. This isn't a problem for anything that needs a ~65F and below temp to ferment, as even in the summer my chiller works great...

    My 'Soft Pipe' Setup

Hi, I'm Doug, and I'm a dope. How so you ask? Well in a given brew day, I usually burn myself on steam and/or boiling wort at least once... usually multiple times. It usually comes form swapping hoses, or forgetting to close a vale before the aforementioned swapping of hoses. So I set out to...

Got my new fermentation bucket(10 L) from China

How does brewing work for you since alcohol is prohibited? Do you have to be careful who knows you're doing it? Are there extra precautions you have to take?

Got my new fermentation bucket(10 L) from China

Well that would certainly explain it. Things we take for granted sometimes, eh? Enjoy the fresh gear, OP!

Got my new fermentation bucket(10 L) from China

Excuse me if I'm missing something right in front of my nose, but what is the benefit to this vs. an ultra cheap brew bucket from any vendor or LHBS?

small batches and conical fermenters. worth it or just excessive?

My two cents: Conicals are almost always excessive on a 5 gallon (or smaller) homebrew scale. BUT the added convenience and function offered in a good conical are definitely great if you can swing the cost. I do 5 gal batches and upgraded this year to spike cf5 fermenters... they are crazy...

Looking for advice on building a brew space

Good looks on the sink-- I was looking at an extra large (~40'') utility sink, but will take a peek at stainless options as well. Interesting use of the fridge, how warm does the heater wrap get the top fermenter?

Looking for advice on building a brew space

Bought a new house about a year ago and now that we're settled the wife has approved a 10'x10' space in the basement that can be finished for a brewery. I am looking for some advice from the community, but first the details: Here is what I have from my past brewing: - 15 gal BIAB set up from...

Showing off my new indoor brewery

First of all, looks amazing! I'm just getting back into the hobby after a few years off, and am trying to make sure i have all of my ducks in a row-- I also run eBIAB and steam is my nemesis. I love the idea of the copper top with the vent fan, but for the sake of budget, do you think I could...

The "We'll fix your label for you" thread

Thanks for the info - I'm kind of a one-trick pony when it comes to design. I work at an agency and all, but I'm no designer. As for the barbershop tie in, our Great grandfather, Grandfather, and Uncle were all Barbers, but we sold the shop when my Uncle passed away a few years ago. This is...

The "We'll fix your label for you" thread

First of all - Thanks! I love how crisp it is, but I think my brother is going to fight me on keeping the flat-vibe. How were you able to clean up those messy-looking lines that I currently have? (If this is something that is easy to find online, feel free to say so, I just don't know what...

The "We'll fix your label for you" thread

Hey guys, I'm sure there are a million and a half requests on here now, but I wanted to toss mine in for some assistance. I'm not wholly terrible with photoshop, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make this image more 'crisp.' I'm hoping to have it at a high enough res to print...

This is far and away the funniest reply I have ever seen on these fora... and from the sale forum nonetheless!
