Hey guys, second year hop grower here. Noticed in my garden that the centennials and cascades are starting to sprout up again. Noticed one of my plants has a trailing fibrous root about six inches long. Can I snip it off and plant it? What are the odds of seeing more plants this season.
Thanks
Hey guys!
Bottled an Irish stout two weeks ago with 12 tablespoons of table sugar for 5 gallons of stout. The bottles are 500ml and they've been sitting in my kitchen this whole time at a happy 18-22C.
Yet no carbonation!
My ales have always been foamy by day 3 with this method

Hey Guys, Just a poll to see how many people still rack into secondary in all their brews.
I know that secondary can be useful in some styles however, as a hop junkie I bottle right after primary so I can consume that hoppy goodness as soon as possible.

As a side hobby (besides brewing) I spend my summer weekends as an 1812 reenactor
It's hard to keep a steady supply of ice for a cooler and I was wondering if anybody has a recipe that would taste good at high teens Celsius or low 70's (for you Yankees)
My hop tolerance is around 64 ibu's...
Thank you everyone for your advice
I will take it all into account.
I was also wondering what flavours i may get off the varieties of hops. I've done some research but i lack experience with combining hops. I like my bitterness between 40-64 IBU's do you think the hop bill is appropriate to...
My Humblest of apologies
My style will be an amber ale or probably closer to a brown ale as for yeast i will be using a Fermentis US-05 American Dry Ale Yeast
I will post the information above
