30-35 psi is correct: confirmed while visiting the Storehouse a few years ago.
Stout faucet with the 5 hole "nitrogen stripper" insert is essential
Temp doesn't matter, within reason. A Guinness keg at room temperature going into a chiller will pour a beautiful pint until the last drop is...
I am also concerned about the safety of this setup. Ground for the 120V equipment is coming from a different point to that of the 240V equipment. If the electrical installation is defined as being in one building without crossing a boundary to an outbuilding we know that the neutral and ground...
I have used the Avantco 3500 for the last 6-7 years with my 14" diameter 10 gal pot that is typically filled to the 7 gal mark: no problem at all! You can see the heating activity confined to an area of 9-10" diameter but absolutely no scorching or other detrimental effect.
I also have an...
I appreciate the reminder about oil maintenance, however the screw you refer to as a hex head is actually known as a socket head cap screw. A very good suggestion to replace the original with that screw imo.
Thanks
There was a blog on a pro-brewery site a few months ago about this exact topic. The fermentor had been sanitized but the brew had been postponed for 36 hours so the OP was asking if the vessel needed to be sanitized again. Overwhelming response was yes, why risk having a batch of contaminated...
I have both Chugger and Blichmann Riptide pumps in my system. The Riptide is used with the boil kettle as it outperforms the Chugger for whirlpooling. The Riptide does not contain a teflon washer so it can be cleaned with PBW, Chugger's do contain teflon washers. The Riptide's output control...
I think you'll find that 3/16" lines are used for beer, in our short-run home setups, as they have a higher restriction impedance over larger diameters. This is all down to "balancing" the flow with carbonation level. If 5/16" ID beer lines were used the run would need to be much longer...
Wonderful to hear you have found the tap.
I agree that between Kai's original design and The Electric Brewery we are capable of brewing great things, not to mention getting into plenty of trouble!
Well done Homebrewtalk members/viewers.
These are brass plated Perlick's I bought from the Beverage Factory several years ago, they're great taps.
Edit: Just saw that the official name is: 525SSTF Beer faucet, Stainless Steel Gold Finish W/SS Shaft.

I was not aware that each new GFCI was a 2-pole breaker, didn't notice that in your previous posts. You can follow the wiring as duncan.brown proposes.
Brew On!
L6-30, as you may know does not contain a neutral wire and is designed for 240-250V equipment. Two 30A circuits going through a 2-pole GFCI would work to power the brew commander panel you mentioned. Using an adaptor to power an L6-30 from 2 independent outlets would not meet code: one breaker...
