I have many, many ounces of frozen, vacuum sealed hops. I opened a small package and they still smell like hops, no off odors. Anybody have any experience brewing with anything close to this? I had kids and took some serious time off but now thinking about getting back in. I never threw these...
I've been out of the homebrew game for a while, sidetracked with life. I've been using my 5CU GE for years just as a beer fridge but now need to store it or sell (NOOOO) it. The only place I have to store it is an elevated crawl space that will only allow for me to put it on it's back. I've done...
I've been gone a long while so maybe this has been addressed. I can't find it. Every time I go to pour from my keezer the first beer is pretty foamy. I've found my beer line actually has air pockets in it. I'm currently tapping commercial sanke kegs with about 10' of line to compensate for the...
And of course, you guys don't disappoint! I absolutely lovethe fact I can post a questioning he morning and KNOW ill have the answer waiting for me when I get a chance to check back in. Thanks all! I'll post pictures when I make it happen.
I've been mia for a while but am about to cut the top off a keg I got. I was going to get a cut off wheel (3") from harbor freight but then I saw the angle grinder (4"+) that looks more heavy duty. I assume the bigger the better but anyone have any input...
I'm sure many of you saw this in the last BYO but I thought it'd be worth pointing out here. I was about to do this on my own and when I saw this it made me happy I didn't have to! If this link ever dies I have the PDF.

If you're just hooking it up to a 6 or 12v computer fan it will either run in reverse if the wires are switched or it won't run at all. This is what happened with me. I take no responsibility if you burn your fan though.... Low enough voltage to just give it a try IMO.
I'm nervous to let it go too long b/c I've got 3 kegs in there. It was already cold and I couldn't hear a click while I was turning. I assume it still clicks while unplugged?
So far no luck on my small GE. Turned it in all the way and the compressor was still running after I plugged it in. I'm now afraid to go counter-clockwise too much for fear of unscrewing the thing completely. Thoughts anyone?
