    Huge price increase on LME ?

    From what I can see it's the price for Briess LME. I found online at a few places 1.5 Kg for +- 12.00$. So 9$ a kilo seems about right.

    I haven`t brewed since december, we have been traveling, skiing and living on the beer reserves I made. It`s close to being empty so I need to brew a few batches now. Went to my LBS to get my usual supplies and to my big suprise the LME from Briess I use went up from 5.30$ a KG to 9.00$...

    I have 3 different grain to steep on my brew tonight I was wondering if I need to steep them in different pots or in the same it doesn't matter. It ranges from dark grain to Crystal 60L thanks Ernie

    Can't say anything about kits since I haven't done them, I've seen some intresting kits from places in the states but shipping was always to high to Canada so I never went that route. I have been using the recipes in Palmer's book mostly and starting to modify some of them to my liking.

    never done a kit in my life. Always got my extract in bulk, used some grain for steeping and hops. I'm happy with the results for now. I don't mind the bottles.

    A little update on this situation, beer has been bottled and tonight I drank one. I am happy to say that I am not blind. The beer is actually amazing. Very happy with the results.
