    Texas DFW Looses Another LHBS

TXbrewing will likely be closing too, prob by the end of 2022. He is full on a wholesale shop to breweries and doesn't see why he needs to waste so much time on so little profit from a single homebrew sale.

    Stout Stainless Counterflow Chiller

Anyone interested in buying one of these? I have one that I've used for 6 months and recently switched to a plate chiller. My tap water is nowhere near cold enough to use this thing effectively.

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

I've been working on this one a while. It is finally done.

Baking a plate chiller to Sanitize?

I've been baking my plate chiller for several years... probably 4 or so. I bake at 350 for an hour. Prior to use, I rinse with iodophor to clean all the ash out. I've never had an issues with baking.

    Crankandstein 328D jam

When I say cam, make sure that your bottom roller is set to the same setting on both sides. I have a monster mill, so they don't have the detents like the CM does. Make sure your end caps are square, and the end gap is minimal, tenths of an inch. What is likely happening is your 3rd...

    Crankandstein 328D jam

A local homebrew shop bought one and I fitted it to a stand. It would work perfectly for a few runs, then jam. It was embarrassing. Things to check: Your end plates are mounted square with each other. The gap between the roller and the end is minimal (tenths of an inch). Your 3rd roller is...

    List of PJ Electrical Diagrams

Is there a way to get the bare images of the components used to make these diagrams? I want to make my own diagram using P-J's as a base. Thanks!

    Equipment Storage in the South

My brew system sits outside, year round, granted it is all steel, stainless. If you've got plastic, it'll get brittle with heat cycles, and sun exposure, but humidity won't really affect it unless you don't clean well....

    Regulator for commercial oxygen tanks?

I have one of these and it works great. I got a full O2 bottle at a local welding shop for $65, and I bet I've used less than 5% of it over the last 30 brews.

    6" hole

I agree, get a real hole saw. It might take longer and be more expensive but it will make a near perfect circle through the sill plate.

How do you keep pipettes clean and sanitized?

    SS 1/2" NPT needle valves?

I wouldn't worry about it, honestly. After you get used to ball valves, you can adjust your flow with small adjustments. My system has a 3qt gravity fed grant that the pump pulls from. I can adjust the flow on the output of the pump with ease to keep the levels even enough to walk away for...

Video test of Sabco Plate Pro heat exchanger

By the time you take that thing apart, and reassemble it, you'll be out 3-4 hours of your day, and, you'll be lucky if it doesn't leak once you are done. Better order a new set of gaskets now before you perform you first disassembly. Ask any brewery about plate chiller cleaning. Also...

Universal poppet valves for corney kegs

The universal poppets that I ordered from Northern brewer aren't quite right. In some cases, I've had to cut the spring down 1 coil to get a disconnect to lock in place. Not ideal, but it works. Anyone have a line on the differences between the three different styles mentioned above?
