    Quality Kilju Recipe (Sugar Wine)

When you say multivitamins, had you been experimenting with using human multivitamin tablets? I just buy a $5 sack of " beer nutrient" from the LHBS , with kveik yeast you still need some unless your in your higher gravity, lots of malt situation. Cheers thanks for the info

    Quality Kilju Recipe (Sugar Wine)

Thank you! That's exactly the controlled experiment I wanted to see done. I like the sound of the non inverted batch. And I'm going to let it cool more before adding my nutrient next time .

    Ribena cider

Exactly, the preservative is only in sufficient quantity to act as a preservative BEFORE it gets diluted 10 to 1 or as the case my be . Kveik yeast , no problems with it, you can even ferment lemon juice bottles with preservatives 221 and 222 in them as long as they are diluted

Coopers DIY Beer Stout: Need your help, guys!

Thats a good one i do something similar. You mark my words though, delete the maltodextrin and there is no change to head, whatsoever. I make stouts that have never been within 100 meters of maltodextrin and could almost stand a spoon up in the creamy head. Honestly maltodextrin is the biggest...

    Kveik Hard Lemonade

Hi , I hope everything is still ok🙏 and you had success making hard lemonade. After years, I stopped all the complex steps about sweetening at the end . You simply bottle it...and use sugar water as ice cubes when you serve in a glass!! Its far far easier and you dont put all that extra stuff in...

    Kviek at low temp

B Because over the last few years brewing with it, keeping your own house strains year after year, you noticed that it drops the living hell out of the PH, ferments down dryer than a bone and sort of starts to sour by about day 10. You thought hey funny it dosent do that with regular ale...

    Kviek at low temp

In 2023 we would question that. You actually dont want to leave it on a thick kveik cake for weeks like it was a regular ale yeast . You want to get kveik bottled pretty quickly once your dry hop is done , I don't like more than 6-7 days ( 3 days insulated and warm to ferment, then dry hop 3-4...

Has anybody ACTUALLY done a sucessful stout using kveik yeast?

I know it's late but...how did it go with the peanut butter? I bet you find it would drop more points over the next 4 days , or did u bottle at that point?

Has anybody ACTUALLY done a sucessful stout using kveik yeast?

Over a year down the track : how right you are. Yes at first we all thought all kveik was sigmunds voss. Interestingly I have a house strain I've been harvesting for almost 2 years ( bought it as sigmunds voss) and it has changed probably for the better it stopped 50% of the orange , it can...

Voss Kveik fail (fermented out of keg)

Fermenting in a keg is hipster like serving food in a frying pan on a cutting board. Fermenters are for fermenting and kegs are for storing the fully fermented and completed beer 👍

New post a picture of your pint

Australian Xpa , nice and hazy for days thats lazy. Dry hop 100g Mosaic, Centennial and Mandarina Bavaria 50g each. My own house kveik yeast , fermented the brew for 3 days and dry hopped 4 Matter a fact I got it now...
