    Lalvin EC-1118 for Pale Ale??

Thanks. Well, maybe I'll just order some Brewer yeast. I'm totally rural & nothings out where I live so need to make an order. I'll just look for kit sales.

    Lalvin EC-1118 for Pale Ale??

Hi all! I figured there some experienced folks here that did some experimenting with ec-1118 on Ale & need some advice. I have a pale ale that's supposed to have an og of 1.052 (lost my s-04 I was going to use) so using the ec-1118 I had available for mead. Would this work very well considering...

What zone does hops grow best in

I live in Snowflake, Az and interested in preordering rhizomes but unsure if hops, or specific species of hops, would grow here. It's very windy & dry during spring/summer (but can water, of course). My elevation is about 5,600 ft. - zone 7 Can someone recommend something?

What's best way to have clear beer??

Any ideas to have good clean looking beer after it's ready? I kegged a delirium & can't find out why its cloudy. I transferred after everything was settled.

    Foaming Brew after kegged

Oh, ok. Never had to use that before. I noticed no fermentation in the conicle as I've always done in the past & transferred it to keg. Over the last year, I decided to let the brew selfcarbonate - I started to do this after my co2 tank was empty & I was able to tap from that. I'll look into...

    Foaming Brew after kegged

It was just sitting in the keg, nothing else allowing pressure to escape. So, you think it was infected? I went ahead & put it in my cooler. Maybe that will fix the issue.

    Foaming Brew after kegged

Way over carbbed on it's self carbonation? It wasn't charged with anything but it's own gases. I was going to charge it once the air was bled out but it didn't need it. Maybe I'll just put it in the cooler chest to reduce any yeast activity remaining. As I said, this is the first time I've...

    Foaming Brew after kegged

That's what I initially thought but after I bled all the air out & opened keg, the foam started overflowing down the side of keg.

    Foaming Brew after kegged

Yes. The FG is fine & it tastes normal. Could it have gotten infected?

    Foaming Brew after kegged

9 lbs of Malt Extract was used. I didn't use any priming sugar since it isn't needed. It tastes the same as it used to.

    Foaming Brew after kegged

I made my brew & after fermentation was complete I let it remain in my conical as I've always done in the past to allow it to clear. Transferred to my keg after a month and tapped it after about 2 months. I usually allow it to self carbonate with no issues. This time; however, when I tapped it...
