I created a yeast starter last night. 2 cups water and 1/2 cup DME (about 500ml of liquid) and pitched a Wyeast pack into it (for a 1.065 OG beer). After some reading this morning and looking at brewers friend yeast calculator, I'm now realizing the volume is only about half what I should have done.

My question, can I make another 2 cups water & 1/2 cup DME mix and add it to what I already have (by the time I get home from work it will be about 20 hours after I made the fist one.
Or do I need to look into stepping up my starter?

By the way, this is currently on a stir plate and I'm brewing on Saturday.

Appreciate any advice!

I don't see why that would be a problem. Ideally, for a stepped starter you'd chill, decant, and pitch into a bigger volume of wort but you don't really have time to do that, if you have the space in your flask, don't see an issue.
