Curious what size starter others are doing. My standard process for say a 10 gallon batch is one fresh pack of liquid yeast into a 1litre flask on the stirplate. When completed I decanter and pitch into a 5 litre starter on the stirplate again. Decenter again once completed then pitch into the wort. This would be for 1.050 gravity and below. I'm starting to think I'm wasting alot of dme over pitching . Thoughts?
