new brewer to the forum, so.. Hello! from Mesa, AZ.

i looked around but didnt come up with any solid hits..

i am primary fermenting a LME kit for a week. im choosing to rack to a plastic carboy for another 2 weeks at least, maybe up to a month. my question is, what if you age in secondary for a few or several months, is there a chance the yeast can completely die from being inactive in a secondary, that is to say when bottle conditioning, nothing happens?
 
what kind of beer is this? a few months or several is pretty vague but i would say you would be fine for 3-6 months, maybe more.
