If you had a choice of free plastic or brass camlocks, would you use them over buying stainless?

The pp are only fda rated to 180.

Been using the pp for 3 years or so with no issues. Melted one or 2, but that was about all the problems I had. They are much more user friendly for hot swapping than the ss ones which are too hot to quickly swap if you need to. I have replaced some of the ones on my bk and other high strain areas with ss, but never had one break while brewing. The nice thing about the pp ones is both the the 1/2" and 3/4" sizes have the 3/4" camlock size connection so you can save some adapters and connect core components with one size camlock.

"No"

Cheers!

I concur

Sent from my iPhone using the sweet Home Brew app, cuz I'm a ****** and I need everyone to know that I have an iPhone as if everyone else in the world doesn't have one.

My local farm store sells some and I was interested in trying a few, but the smallest they had was 3/4" IIRC
