Evening all...I have a vial of fresh WLP004 that I bought by mistake. I looked up what it made and nothing really popped out at me as something I'd want to brew right now.
I looked up its Wyeast equivalent and it's Wy1084 Irish Ale, which Wyeast says will produce a strong scotch ale.
White Labs only gives 004 a 2/4 ranking for strong scotch ale, so I am not sure whether my 004 will produce a quality scotch heavy, or should I suck it up and make something the yeast was designed for?
Thanks
