Tittle says it all. Wondering if a longer shank would/could equal a more uniform(colder) shank temp, avoiding a potentially warmer pour on the first pint.

Application would be a stand up kenmore keezer

My thaughtprocess is more exposed metal could result in a better transfer of temperature throughtout the shank.
Opinions?
Knowledge?
Over thinking?

I know they could protrude a bit but thats curbed by using a 90* tail piece
In my freezer, a 3 in would be close, a 4.25 is more than enough(currently installed)
Apwonder if there would be benefit in going 6in, potentially doubling the surface in contact with the cold.

I haven't tried it but it makes perfect sense to me! I know everyone says stainless but brass may also help. Brass just conducts hot/cold so much more efficiently. But again this is just theory for me. I haven't actually tried it.
