Making my house ale which is considered to be either a late hopped cream ale or a cream ipa.

7 # 2 Row
3 # Flaked Corn
1 # Flaked Barley

1oz Cascade pellets 20min

1oz Centennial pellets 5 min

I have 2 oz of mosaic or citra pellets
For 170f whirl pool (steep for 30 minutes)

that means 2 oz of either mosaic or citra for dry hop

Using Wlp080 yeasts

Don’t know where mosaics and citra will work best.
Do I:
2 oz mosaic whirl pool
Split 1 oz Mosiac 1 oz citra for whirl pool
Dry hop 1 oz mosiac 1 oz citra
Dry hop mosiac and whirlpool citra?
All whirlpool?
All dry hop?

Any assistance is appreciated

I would try 1oz of mosaic/Citra in the whirlpool and 1oz mosaic/Citra in the dryhop. Also I would ensure that the whirlpool hops are not added until your in the 170f range to avoid pickup up additional bitterness unless you're already compensating for that. Cheers

Dry hops will change the flavor of the beer....remember the days when dry hops were only for aroma....well that was all wrong.
What hops do you like the flavor of the most....make that your dry hop.

For me I'm not a huge fan of mosaic from the "mosaic" beer I've had.

I would go:
first hops @ 5 mosaic 1 oz
155 deg second hop addition:
2 oz mosaic
1 oz citra
Dry hop:
1 oz centennial
1 oz cascade
1 oz citra

Last I did the same version of this beer, but LHBS was out of citra, subbed Galaxy.
I did a whirlpool and dry hop of 1/2 oz of each and it was a great mix.
Of course this year LHBS was out of galaxy!
Never thought to dry hop with cascade or centennial

A recent Beersmith video podcasts features Stan Hieronymus talking about hopping and some of the latest findings on the effects of whirlpooling, dry hopping etc. There may be something in there you can use...

I was able to pick up an additional 1 oz of
Mosiac 11.9% (blueberry)
Citra 12.8% (citrus-tropical)
And
Cryo Amarillo 14.3% (grapefruit)

I am now questioning if Mosiac and citra will be a good pair?

Or can I just dry hop with 2 out of 3, leaving one for whirlpool?

Will 3 oz of citra and Mosiac be too much?

tastes of citrus, blueberries and grapefruit.
Went dry hop of mosaic, citra, Amarillo!
